Week 5, Term 1

We welcome Ryder to Matai this week. We are looking forward to our Zone Athletics Day tomorrow and we hope the sun shines as predicted! Matai have been talking about being friendly and polite, and about taking turns and sharing. We have been talking about how we us our hands in positive ways, such as to share and to help others if they're hurt. Come and see our paintings about 'Helping Hands!'. 

Here we are doing some thinking about feelings and sorting them into groups that are the similar.

We have been learning about statistics -  sorting objects into groups and making pictographs. "The dinosaurs are the biggest group!" said Kaelah.

" I sorted them by colour. The dark blue ones have the most" said Maggie.
