Term 2, Week 6

We did so well at the cross country on Friday, braving the terrible weather and even the big muddy puddle! We felt encouraged by the cheering on the home straight, and ran that bit faster all the way to the finish line!

We welcomed Lachlan to our class this week. We are exploring area in maths- for example, how many cubes cover a book? We know to use the same sized measure and to leave no gaps when measuring. It's good counting practise too! We are also exploring plant life cycles further. We are germinating some bean seeds, and observing what happens when we put plants in coloured water. Watch this space to see what we discover!
What will the bean plant do to reach the light it needs when we put it in a dark box?
