Hammers and Saws!

Our children are becoming really creative with their woodworking. They are working on boats, ramps, planes and a variety of machines. Girls and boys both love the hammering and sawing.

Matai in the Fort

Testing our boundaries

We regularly welcome new children in Matai. Today we showed one of our new children around the school and enjoyed showing them how much fun we can have testing our boundaries and taking risks. What a great playground and fort we have!

Fireworks

Here you can see some of the children making fireworks pictures to go with their writing this week. We think they look amazing!

Friday Sharing

On Friday's the children can bring along something to share with the class. This allows them to practise speaking in front of an audience.

Counting

Each day in Matai we count. The children are moving and counting up to 100!

Persistence!

Week 2 in class action!

We had Philippa come in and teach some children how to knit using pencils and string!! Wow she is very resourceful. 

Miss Peters had a birthday in the weekend and the children all wrote cards which we gave to Miss Peters today and she loved them!
